Position: Financial Controller

Breakwater Vantage is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to work closely with our executive team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of tax codes, cost structures, financial reporting, and auditing processes. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
•    Oversee and manage the organization's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
•    Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the tax code, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), cost structure (Opex), and financial reporting requirements
•    Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
•    Work closely with the operation team to develop budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic plans
•    Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and manage the preparation and submission of tax filings
•    Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
•    Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as required
•    Provide financial analysis and support to department managers and senior executives to facilitate informed decision-making
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
•    Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
•    A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with a strong focus on financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing
•    Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, tax codes, and financial reporting standards
•    Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and staff
•    Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
